Will Shearer is Leiters’ Chief Legal Officer & Corporate Compliance Officer and has been advising both privately-held and publicly-traded businesses for over 25 years, with primary emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, joint venture and business partnership structuring, and healthcare-related business regulation. Mr. Shearer also has significant experience working with non-profit/tax-exempt organizations, both in an executive capacity and as outside counsel. Will began his law career in 1994 in the Columbus, Ohio office of BakerHostetler, where he became a partner. He left BakerHostetler in 2006 to become the first Executive Director of Vineyard Community Center, a non-profit agency founded at that time to serve the northeast side of Columbus and where he served for nearly 10 years while also maintaining a private law practice. Will joined Leiters in early 2017 in connection with the start-up of Leiters’ Denver facility. Mr. Shearer graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law in 1994, where he was a Chancellors Scholar. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Shearer spent five years working in college athletics administration at the University of Notre Dame (1988-91) and Clemson University (1986-88). He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Clemson University.
