Last week Leiters Health welcomed pharmacy students from the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences to our corporate facility in Englewood, Colorado! The ½ day session exposed them to the world of 503B pharmaceutical compounding including a tour of our facility and the chance to meet with several of our Leiters Health PharmD’s to learn firsthand what a pharmacy career in the 503B space looks like.
Said one student, “This was a great opportunity for student pharmacists to gain insight on how the industry actually works. I think we hear stories all the time about it but never fully indulge in the idea that some students want to pursue that field of pharmacy instead of residency, etc. The insights [and people] that I’ve gained [and met] from the experience have been nothing but overwhelming in a good way.”
