Kit Check


Kit Check is focused on helping pharmacists improve operational efficiency, patient safety, and medication visibility throughout the hospital.

Kit Check’s  automated medication tray management system uses RFID tags applied to each medication and a countertop scanning station to automate restocking of crash carts and OR trays or drawer liners. When a used tray is placed in the Kit Check scanning station, each RFID tag is scanned and the system shows which items are missing, expiring, or incorrect. The entire scanning, restocking, and verification process takes about three minutes, compared to the 20-30 minutes needed for the manual process.

Kit Check’s friendly hospital pharmacy kit restocking solution reduces kit processing time by 90% and cuts costs by over $4 per medication. At the same time, kit errors typically fall to zero. Recalls and drug shortages are also more easily managed and pharmacists are free to spend less time on manual administrative tasks.

Avanos

In light of the opioid epidemic, the ON-Q* Pain Relief System provides a non-opioid alternative for post-operative pain management. ON-Q* is an elastomeric drug delivery system that delivers local anesthetic directly to the surgical site either through a nerve block or a surgeon placed catheter, for post-operative pain relief. It is indicated to significantly reduce use of opioids and to provide better pain relief than opioids alone.

Through our preferred relationship with Avanos Medical (formerly known as Halyard Health), Leiters offers ON-Q* Pain Relief System customers a proprietary fill service. This service is provided through our two 503B outsourcing facilities located in San Jose, California and Denver, Colorado. Both facilities are FDA-registered and inspected and follow current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
