Lee Cooper

Mr. Lee Cooper is a distinguished leader in the healthcare industry including roles in healthcare-focused private equity, and more than 25 years with General Electric (“GE”). He is known as a strong growth leader with proven commercial and operational expertise. Lee has a servant leadership mindset and believes “culture eats strategy for lunch”. He also believes success starts with having a highly engaged and collaborative team, maniacally focused on delivering value for customers and growth for stakeholders.

Mr. Cooper was most recently Executive Vice President and President, Walgreens Pharmacy at Walgreens Boots Alliance following his role as CEO of Shields Health Solutions and purchase of Shields by Walgreens. Prior to Shields, Cooper was a healthcare operating partner at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, where he was introduced to Shields. Before WCAS, he served as a long-time executive at GE, his last position as the President and CEO of GE Healthcare, U.S. and Canada. There he oversaw GE Healthcare’s core businesses of Imaging, Ultrasound, Life Care Solutions, Enterprise Digital Solutions and Services. He partnered with providers, healthcare system executives and government leaders to improve healthcare quality, access, and affordability.

Mr. Cooper received his B.A, Economics from Ohio Wesleyan University. He is married with six children and five grandchildren.
